Story of Sepu Badi ✨

Sepu Badi is more than food — it’s heritage on your plate. Once reserved for royal Pahadi thalis, today it remains a centerpiece of slow food identity in Himachal.

Prepared with urad dal, cumin, hing & mustard oil, each dumpling is naturally dried over days in mountain sunshine, then carefully sorted by hand.

Every batch is stone-ground in sil batta, sun-dried for 2–3 days, and hand-sorted by women SHGs — preserving authenticity, culture, and livelihoods.

It represents not just a recipe, but a woman-powered rural economy, keeping traditions alive in a fast-changing world.

Passed from grandmothers to daughters, its recipe is a cultural heirloom — bringing together taste, tradition, and togetherness.
